A brief resume of the family history:

The family name is mentioned in the "Domesday Book" a member was living in CHEW MAGNA
The Family "Emblazonment of Arms" was awarded to a member after the battle of CRECY for services to the Crown. The emblazon can only be officially used if you are able to get it reissued to you by the Royal Society of Heralds in London.

Motto "Crecit sub pondere virtus"= "Virtue thrives in adversity"
Additional Motto "Juventus Deo"= "With God's will"

Reliable Family tree data (only as accurate as the source material received) is traced back to a farmer Roger Goulstone  living in Chew Magna ca 1460.

As keeper of the archives I have much information in the form of letters, web search data, original documents, other correspondence, technical data and pamphlets, tree data and photographs. You can contact me by mail, email and phone (See top of page). If you have a suitable 'Genealogy Program' which will accept a GEDCOM file, I can supply you with a copy of this data which has taken over 40 years to compile. I point out again that it is only as accurate as my sources allow it to be, it is NOT guaranteed 100% accurate. My immediate family data can be seen on Jeremy's (my brother's) masterweb site.
